Baby steps

Ok, so I never got around to making that list of areas that need de-cluttering last night.  Why?  Because I couldn’t stop playing Solitaire until I could finish on a positive note, of course.  I started to make the list tonight but I couldn’t find my notebook in order to make said list.  That doesn’t mean that tonight was a wasted evening.

I had the evening to myself as my hubby and little one, and room mate are off visiting some friends.  I recently ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 with a gift card we got for Christmas so I was looking forward to being able to sit back and watch a movie, but I wanted to be useful too.  Well, why not do both?

Tonight was the night for the ultimate de-cluttering chore, laundry.  It’s unending, necessary, and if left undone overflows and takes over your house.  So I did a couple loads of laundry, and folded clothes, all while watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1.

It’s been a pretty nice evening.

Tomorrow night my hubby will be home when, which probably means that I wont get much de-cluttering done tomorrow either, but I’m going to learn from my mistakes and set a goal for myself.  Considering the small pleasure that I get from watching movies and television, I will spend my 15 minutes cleaning and organizing the entertainment center so that it is more pleasant to look at.  I look forward to getting back on my journey and I want to thank my readers for all the encouragement you give me so that I don’t just sit back and give up on it.

laundry is one thing you ought to be able to foist onto Shawn; I did it because it is the one chore you can do while watching TV
